• A well must be at least 100 feet from a leach field or cesspool.

• A well must be at least 50 feet away from a septic tank.

• A well must be at least 10 feet away from a property line or possibly 100 feet in some recently divided properties.

• A well site must be clear of any easements or floodplains.

• Subdivided properties will require certain site plan before drilling can commence.

Sadly no, a driller cannot sense the volume or quality of water below the ground’s surface. AK Drilling will work its hardest to help you get the well that you need!

On average wells can be drilled in 1-5 days, depending on conditions for the ground, weather, water depth, location, and property conditions.

It depends on the county, but counties such as Anaconda Deer Lodge County and Missoula County in Montana require a permit which the customer must obtain.

Yes, after completion of the water well, AK Drilling will complete your well log and certify your well with the State of Montana.

AK Drilling will also provide you with a well log upon completion of the well.

The well owner themselves will need to fill out and send their water rights form to the DNRC, though, which can be found here!

AK Drilling does not install the pump system, but we can direct you to very helpful companies that can install pump services for your well.
